Challenge : 

Extension of the operational life of the V-belts
in the drive for the conveyance of round bar steel . 

 

Problem/Requirements :

The drive of the conveyor of round steel which is cut into specific lengths
was previously equipped with eight V-belts ILO, B120, with a pulley diameter
of d1 and d2 = 315 mm. According to Mr Pulkikinnen these had to be
replaced up to twice a week.

 

Solution : 

Optimized drive design with four maintenance-free Optibelt
RED POWER II SPB 3350 Ld S=C PLUS high performance V-belts.
New pulley diameter d1 and d2 = 375 mm. 
 
 

Effects: 

The maintenance-free Optibelt RED POWER II V-belts have been
in operation for more than two months now – without any trouble.
